Golden Era Jungle aims to preserve the history of jungle music. The site originally started as a way to easily share and download mixtapes, many of which were distributed by Dub Shack and the Chicago Hardcore Authority Soundsystem in the 1990s. Order forms were commonly featured in the Junglized Zine, created by Dj Jeffee. That zine died off with the popularly of the Internet.

The original site had a forum, helping foster a community of like-minded individuals and the sharing of new mixes. The site was eventually hacked by a script kiddie who was trying to sell the user data. There have been multiple revivals since.

Having been around since the start, supporting with shirt purchases, and still having most of the original mixes, I decided to buy the domain and bring the site back. Salute to everyone who has contributed over the years to help spread the sound of jungle. Enjoy!
